Separate rectal applicator syringe from bulb. Fill syringe bulb with enema solution and replace rectal applicator. Lubricate rectal applicator syringe using a water-soluble lubricant. Position oneself over the toilet and gently insert the rectal applicator into the rectum. Squeeze the bulb gently to flush solution into the bowel. Retain solution as long as possible before relaxing the muscles to release contents of bowel. Repeat process if necessary. Cleaning instructions: separate rectal applicator syringe from bulb. Wash both parts thoroughly in a solution of water and disinfectant before initial use and after each subsequent use. Rinse thoroughly. Dry out of direct sunlight. Ensure all parts are dry before storing.
