Description

Caya Diaphragm is a multi-use effective form of barrier method contraception when used correctly. The Caya is a contoured diaphragm that is suitable for most women; a Silicone based female barrier contraceptive, easy to use and hormone free. Caya contoured diaphragm is easy to use when compared to a tampon, it is required to be inserted prior to sexual intercourse and should be left in for a minimum of 6 hours after intercourse. If a lubricant is required, you should only use water-based gels, the preferred gel is the Caya Contraceptive Gel. The Caya should be cleaned after use in warm water using a mild soap and should last for up to 2 years from first use.

Does one-size really fit most?

Yes!! The Caya® Diaphragm fits about 80% of women. For the women who used or have been fitted for a conventional diaphragm, the Caya® fits women who fall in the 65-80mm range. However, while a pelvic exam or traditional fitting is not a requirement for Caya® use, if your size is unknown you may want to consider having your provider order a “Test Fit” sample of Caya® to confirm that Caya® will work for you.​

Product Precautions

  • The Caya® diaphragm should always be used with water-based contraceptive gels such as, Gynol II, Conceptrol, and VCF Gel. The Caya® diaphragm is not compatible with silicone-based lubricants and gels.

  • The Caya® is contraindicated if the patient was previously sized with a conventional diaphragm with the size 50-60mm and 85-90mm.
