Thanks to its anatomical and ergonomic shape, the Caya® diaphragm fits most women.

The fitting of a size by a professional as required for traditional, round diaphragms, is not needed.

Women who have already used a traditional diaphragm in the size of  65, 70, 75 or 80 mm  for contraception can use the Caya® contoured diaphragm immediately. No fitting is necessary.

  • Cervical cup: Accommodates a range of cervical sizes. Thin, covers the cervix, not felt during intercourse
  • Rim: Flexible, provides stability and helps guide the Caya® deep into the vagi as the woman pushes on the anterior edge. Holds the diaphragm in place and ensures that it is positioned correctly
  • Grip dimples: Orient the woman's finger and provide a tactile cue for where to hold and squeeze the rim
  • Removal dome: Allows for easy removal; a woman's finger can fit under or over the dome to remove the device
  • Center point: palpable center point for a better positioning of the diaphragm

Caya Gel 60g For Diaphragm Use - Reduced Motility of Sperm Cells 

Contraceptive gel for use with natural latex rubber or silicone diaphragms and cervical caps.

Indication

Caya® Gel is a contraceptive gel for use with the diaphragm and cervical cap contraceptive methods.
Caya® Gel increases the safety of these contraceptive methods. Their use without a contraceptive gel has been proved to be less safe.

Mode of action

Caya® forms, by means of the cellulose (gel-forming agent), an additional physical barrier in front of the cervix and lowers the pH of the vaginal fluid. The increased acidity and the viscosity of the gel have a motility inhibiting effect on the spermatozoa.

Application

Before inserting into the vagina, place about one teaspoonful (about 4 ml) of Caya® Gel in the diaphragm or cervical cap. Then follow the instructions for inserting the diaphragm or cervical cap. The vaginal applicator is used optionally if additional gel is to be introduced in front of the already inserted diaphragm if intercourse is repeated. The vaginal applicator is re-usable. However, it should be washed in warm water after each use.

Use

Not to be used
  • in the first 6 weeks after childbirth

  • not to be used with lubricant containing silicone (dimethicone)
Important
  • It is recommended to always is Caya in combination with a contraceptive Gel (e.g. Caya Gel)
  • Caya does not protect from secually transmitted diseases
